Gray Matters Technology Services (GMTS), Inc. is a woman-veteran owned, Management and Technology consulting firm headquartered in Bowie, Maryland with an additional office in Arlington, Virginia.  We currently hold a facilities clearance (4VUH8) and are experienced in security protocols at a corporate and personnel level.  We are a highly skilled and qualified small business.

GMTS provides IT Solutions to the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/ICE, and a host of other small to medium sized businesses within the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

Founded in 2006, GMTS has established a solid history providing the Federal Government tailored solutions to complex business challenges such as modernization, data consolidation, and enterprise level support services. We maintain Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 2 certification, and staff certifications that include PMP, ITIL, CISSP, Oracle, and SQL Server, just to name a few.

Our Technical Engineering Team supports Federal, State, and Local Government tasks ranging from minor projects to complex system integration contracts. At the on-set of the contract award, we build and immediately implement a comprehensive relationship management strategy in an effort to provide dynamic service to our clients. Our engineers are an excellent resource for medium and large businesses providing a specialized focus in Business Process Re- Engineering, Microsoft C-Sharpe Dot Net, Microsoft Dot Net Framework, SQL and SQL Reporting Services, Oracle Database Development and Administration and E-Training Solutions. 100% of our existing team members are cleared at least the secret level.

Business Processing Re-engineering

In order to proceed to the re-engineering phase, our team must gain an understanding of current business practices for each client.  Although some BPR proponents argue against analyzing the current enterprise saying that it inhibits the creative process, we firmly believe that this does hold true although it varies from case to case. Some organizations in dire straits attempt a new process design while totally ignoring the existing processes.  We provide a structured approach for organizations that need help in first mapping their existing processes, then analyzing and improving on that process to design a new methodology that is focused to the business rules and objectives of that organization. The nice thing about software development methodologies is that they are similar to standards; there are so many to choose from.  We bring an array of knowledge and applies various methodologies using the industry’s best practices. We are committed to providing our customers with high-quality and accurate data in reporting. The data can be contained in Microsoft Excel files, exported to other desired formats, or printed to Adobe Acrobat PDF files. Network Design / Help Desk Support

We have extreme and detailed knowledge of taking Flat V LANs to segmented designs, thus enabling streamlined updates and maintenance.  Our engineering team has an array of experience performing circuit provisioning, MPLS configuration, router and switch configurations, SAN replication using VM Ware, configuring and testing redundancy using primary to secondary circuits. We have more than 10 years’ collective experience building, testing and relocating major networks in order to harden the technology in a test environment prior to full implementation.

We strongly believe that some of the best methods for performing work stem from a systematic approach, which result in maximum output with the least amount of downtime at the lowest possible cost. By applying process practices that use a series of requirements, solicitation techniques, and design using prototypes and pilot services first, we can minimize errors that are typical in software and database development.
