ITIL is a series of documents that are used to aid the implementation of a lifecycle framework for IT Service Management. This customizable framework defines how Service Management is applied within an organization. ITIL is organized into a series of five volumes: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement. These volumes describe a closed loop feedback system that provides feedback throughout all areas of the lifecycle. The volumes maintain a framework of best practice disciplines that enable IT Services to be provided efficiently. DKW embraces ITIL fundamentals as yet another avenue to deliver service excellence. A number of DKW professionals are currently pursuing ITIL certification.
